How to lose a girl with a poisonous tongue, starting from 100% likability (Volume 4) - 6 - Epilogue
A week has passed since the altercation with Yamase ended, and the school festival is just a day away, after school on Thursday.
“Let me tell you something, Tajima-kun. What’s important for us right now is how well we can create the ideal that our users are looking for.
“Users? You mean the students… you mean the junior high school students, right?
“Yes. Strictly speaking, the concept of this scene is that <anybody can be the main character>. Just like a Cinderella story, anyone can come to this school and have a wonderful adolescence like in a comic book.
Himuro pulled his whole body into my arms more tightly as he said this with a proud look on his face.
Suddenly, my heartbeat jumps. I was now being held by Himuro on my right arm under the guise of shooting a brochure for the school… Oi, Oi, Oi, the soft part of Himuro’s body that is peculiar to girls is touching me boldly, but is this OK, is this safe?
My thoughts are in turmoil, caught between my worries and my rationality, and I’m not prepared for what I’m about to do.
The composition of this shot is of a man and a woman enjoying the school festival, as shown on the event introduction page. I point to one of the booths lined up in this hallway and say, “How about that next one? I would point out one of the booths lined up in the corridor, and then shoot a scene in which they are excited about the festival.
“───Hmmm …… I’m a little embarrassed about my outfit, but I need to get used to it now so I can be ready for tomorrow.”
Himuro said with a small breath when the photographer gave his approval after the shoot was over. But her hand was still holding my arm tightly…
“Once I’ve accepted your request, I’ll make sure it’s done. Yes, I’ll make sure to give you the reward Tajima-kun requested when you passed the practical test for your love interest, which was to go around the school festival with me as my lover during the festival.”
Himuro gives a small smile and tightens his grip on my arm even more.
On the day I passed the practical exam, I asked Himuro for a reward.
That was this <<School Festival Limited Girlfriend>>.
There are two reasons why I decided to make this request.
One is that I wanted to advance my relationship with Himuro after the preparation for the bake sale was over and I didn’t have anything to worry about anymore.
And I wanted to enjoy a pure date with Himuro without any unnecessary formalities.
Because we’ve always been in love with each other.
“I see. I’m looking forward to it too, even if it’s only for two days, since you’re going to be my girlfriend.”
“Well, I’m not really looking forward to it.
Himuro said with a cold expression.
“……Hey, Himuro, you don’t really mean that, do you ……?”
These days, Himuro’s harsh and honest words are always spoken to me at least once a day.
Before a fun date, I want to get rid of unnecessary worries. I finally asked Himuro to tell me the truth about his harsh and honest feelings.
Then, he quickly let go of my arm and started to laugh with his mouth clamped shut,
“No, Tajima-kun, you know what I’m talking about, and you’re asking me such a silly question after all this time.
What do you mean?
“Well, it’s true that I’ve been a little too tsundere lately, I’ve been thinking so myself. I happen to be the tsundere you like.” (Hey, Tajima-kun, how am I these days? I tried my best to be your type of tsundere girl, but I think I did it well, didn’t I? I’d love to hear what you think. (Heh heh heh).
What, you think tsundere is my type? What the h**l are you talking about?
“…… Hey, Himuro, I’d like to ask you, do you know what kind of situation tsundere refers to?”
“Huh? ……? Of course I do. That’s it. It’s like when you say harsh things that you don’t really mean, but you say them with a lot of force.
Yes, her usual jerkishness is right on the money. It’s not just recently that she mentioned it, but probably ever since we met…
But in my case, if Himuro says something that I don’t think, my heart’s voice would immediately reach out to her and complement her.
Then, what happens if Himuro intentionally tries to make a tsundere to get my attention?
Maybe, intentional words = words from the heart. …….
What is it?
“I was wondering what you’d say if I told you I’m not really into tsundere.”
I asked fearfully with sweat on my forehead.
“What ……, you’re lying, aren’t you ……?”
Then, Himuro, stunned, loosened his grip on my arm… I knew it.
Yeah, Himuro definitely misunderstood me. He thinks I’m the tsundere type of girl. I really have no idea where that came from.
So that’s the reason!
That’s the reason why he was so tongue-tied after the second semester.
In short, it was a word of tsun-appeal, and it had become a true statement from the heart.
Thank goodness! It’s not that he didn’t like me or that he was mad at me for neglecting the student council, but really!
I breathed a huge sigh of relief in my heart.
As I was feeling at peace and relaxed, Himuro suddenly grabbed my arm,
“So, what exactly is your type of woman? I’d like you to tell me exactly what kind of woman you are.
“Well, you know,…… I don’t think I have to tell you now,…… but you look exactly the same as you always do,…….”
“I’m glad you’re so …….”
I told him shyly and he gave me a small smile.
“I’m glad,” he said honestly, “I’m glad! And with a smile!
Maybe he is unaware of it. But I was so happy to see him revealing his true self to me. Oh yeah, even this misguided tsundere was trying her best to suit my taste. That fact alone makes me so happy!
…… but when I’m happy, I tend to see her as a bit of a b***h, or at least she tends to be a bit tongue-tied, but when I think of that side of her as an expression of love in her own way, I can accept it as normal, or rather, I’m happy about it. I’m rather happy about it.
Oh, when I think of the side she only shows to the person she loves, it’s just irresistibly cute!
“─ ─ come to think of it, Tajima-kun’s class bake sale was fortune-telling, wasn’t it?”
Himuro, who had let go of my arm, took a step forward and said.
“Hmm? That’s right, what’s wrong?”
“No, I actually have a little taste for fortune-telling myself, so I thought I’d tell your fortune.
“Wow, that’s new to me. What can you tell me?
“…… about your near future.”
“Oh, I’d love to know. What should I do?
I ask, and he smiles gracefully, his mouth relaxing,
“You don’t have to do anything. The results of the fortune-telling have already come out.
“He……? How did you…?
Himuro called my name with a serious look in his eyes.
“In the not-so-distant future, a girl will confess her love for you.”
What, you mean ……?
“Well, let’s wait and see who it is until she actually confesses her feelings for you.
Himuro gave me a hint of a smile and left, leaving me dumbfounded.
You can count on me, can’t you, Himuro!
It’s been a while since my last entry.
It has been a while, but I am relieved to be able to safely deliver the fourth volume to you. I apologize for the cold weather.
The release date of the fourth volume is November 24, and it will soon be one year since I published my debut work, the first volume, in December of last year.
It’s funny how life is, isn’t it, because when I was a child, my dreams were filled with the feeling of “I can’t wait to grow up,” but now reality is filled with the feeling of “I wish I could be a child again.
By the way, <<Himuro-san>>, “fortune-telling” is often mentioned in your articles, but I wonder if any of you have actually had your fortune read by a fortune-teller.
I had my palm read once about 5 years ago…because I was born with a very short life line on my palm, and I was often teased in elementary school that I would die soon, soon, soon.
When I had my fortune read, I was told that there would be a slight change in my twenty-sixth year and that the following year, twenty-seventh, would be a very busy year. I was given the opportunity to make my debut last year when I was twenty-six years old, and this year, thanks to you, I have been busy with the publication of the fourth volume of the book.
How about having a fortune teller read your fortune once? I’ve been told that my life line is going to grow, so don’t worry about it,……, but it hasn’t shown any sign of growth for the past five years. ……. I’m going to die soon.
I am going to move on to the acknowledgements.
Dear O-san, I am very sorry for all the trouble I have caused you. However, I think that I have grown up a lot through the past year, or at least I have become a goblin instead of a slime, Hirono thinks so. Please keep up the good work. Thank you very much for all the wonderful illustrations, Illustrator Unasaka. My personal favorite this time is the tsundere Ryouha. The deformed Ryouha with a sturdy posture was really nice!
I would also like to thank all the people involved in this project.
Well, this is the end of the postscript, but there is actually a little more to this volume – please bear with me.
Now, let’s get to the last part: ……
